Meeting a new friend on Boulder Creek

This first brown trout was landed in a new section of Boulder Creek. Once I released it a person by the name of Patrick appeared. He said “Sorry to tell you but I have lived here (homeless on the creek) since 1991 and have never seen anyone catch a fish here.” I told him I just did and showed him my photo. He could not believe it. He was very sad he did not see it. I think I have a new fan 😉

It is starting to get dark earlier. A sign of fall then winter on it's way.

Flow is going back up on South Boulder Creek

The flow below Gross Reservoir shot up to 300+ today. The water level was higher, but not that high. It is nice to see the water flowing again from low 70s over the last few weeks. It is now holding around 94cfs.

This new species of dear trout was very shy and hard to catch.
