Meeting a new friend on Boulder Creek

This first brown trout was landed in a new section of Boulder Creek. Once I released it a person by the name of Patrick appeared. He said “Sorry to tell you but I have lived here (homeless on the creek) since 1991 and have never seen anyone catch a fish here.” I told him I just did and showed him my photo. He could not believe it. He was very sad he did not see it. I think I have a new fan 😉

Nice size... 10 inches. Saw this guy the day before hanging in about 6 inches of water. He went right after the BWO.
