After quite a while from posting (and fishing), here are my first trout of the season, feels good.
A day full of golden bows. These beautiful rainbow trout have a golden glow.
Trying out the video feature of this camera. I landed a good size brown trout in video mode and did not get a still. I only have two hands. I need to get a net soon.
These rainbows are very spunky. I love the way they jump multiple times.
Wet the hands. This helps to reduce the removal of the protective skin (slim) on the fish.
Ummm well maybe I had it on the wrong setting… I deserved it for foul-hooking this one … Sorry little guy!
We had a nice storm roll through this afternoon and the mosquitos where not as bad tonight. But I know they are still there. Bill joined me this evening. We need to get out sooner when there is more light.
Yup I had it on the wrong setting. Starting to get dark
Hit SBC this afternoon. Oh was it nice…. minus the mosquitos. They are very vicious this year with all the rain we had. Bug spray does not even help. Have to cover up head to toe. But aside from those pests I landed this nice 12 inch brown trout.
Caught several on a Blue Winged Olive. They where jumping like crazy. Just as fast as they started jumping they stopped. Huge storm rolled in and I meet the president of the Boulder TU Chapter and his friend, getting shelter under a bridge.
